OUR STORY
First, let me give you a small family introduction, I belong to the third generation Vineyard Operator and looking after our Family business for the last 28 years.
The old Family winery is located in north Italy near Bologna, the company
was founded as a small family owned about 65 years ago by Zannoni Aroldo then run by the next generations: my family than I.
My family company was located on Bologna hills where they used to produce bulk wine for the majority and an amount of 25000 bottles of the best Sparkling white wine called BRUT FARNE`and others 10,000 bottles of red wine called ALTRO, made out of local Barbera and Cabarnet Sauvignon.
In the last 5 years I decided to expand the winery production. We Moved to Salento, near Lecce in Puglia, an old winery where I started to produce PRIMITIVO: a red wine. I named this winery TENUTA SALENTO’ as the geographical position, Where Salento

These are the characteristics of the winning wines of Tenuta Salento srl, In 2009 joined in the Family company late Mr. Carlo Palmisano, I would say the best enologist ever met in the company history, his origins are from Brindisi, Salento, long career in the wine field, he`s the one that introduce us to best fairs like VINITALY, FOOD and BEVERAGE in Dubai , etc…. with our sparkling and red wines.
During the years Carlo`s hands were giving to our wines that magic touch that brought many compliments from our costumers, but, something was missing to become the number one as winery. One day Carlo spoke out the word PRIMITIVO.
It was on the 15 of February 2014 that we decided to rent a winery in Salento where to start producing our PRIMITIVO, and for Carlo that day was one of the best days of his life: he was producing one of the best Italian red wine in the world in the land where he was born and where his Father tought him how to get the best PRIMITIVO from the grapes.
After the success of the first 3500 bottles we decide to invest more money opening a new socity called TENUTA SALENTO srl where a new partner joined, Roberto Casolari, one of the relatives of PAVAROTTI tenor, the owner of VINI CASOLARI company, he`s the king of
LAMBRUSCO di SORBARA and other important wines produced in the Sorbara area.
Carlo and Roberto worked all the time together, Carlo tought him the secret that he was using to get the best wine from a grape.
Unfortunately In February 2018 Carlo passed away due to a cancer, we lost the best man and friend that someone can have in his/her life, but we didn`t lose our enologist, Roberto took over applying Carlo`s working ways and our production continued and still continuing getting the same wine taste and thanks to his hard training we are committed to get the best wine award in the world in the name of Carlo.
Now we are betting on two new wines: PRIMITIVO and NEGROAMARO,
